OUR PRODUCTS

All of our mussels are fully sustainable, sand-free, and grown in the cool pure waters off the West Coast of South Africa. All of our products are produced with top quality natural ingredients. Absolutely no artificial additives or preservatives are ever used.

Our mussels are individually quick frozen (IQF) and vacuum-packed for both the retail and foodservice/wholesale markets.

We have a great range of products, but we recognise the vast differences in consumer tastes around the world. So, we often feel it’s best to work collaboratively with our partners and have had great success in developing bespoke flavours in key markets. Whether it is Atlantic Royal branded or your own branded product, we can produce it. Specialised recipes, customised pack size, we can make it happen. Just tell us your requirements!

FOOD SAFETY

Our mussels are harvested from a clean and pure environment and a state-of-the-art facility. The process is supported by world-leading food safety programmes, like British Retail Council (BRC), The National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) and the Department of Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing. These agencies conduct weekly product inspections on the farm for live/raw products. They also conduct facility and processed product inspections to ensure our products are safe to consume along with our Quality Assurance team, who are fully qualified in HACCP, HARCP & BRC implementation and internal audit processes.

The beneficial location of the factory and the speed of the process, together with weekly inspections and strict adherence to food safety and quality assurance programmes, guarantees the best quality mussel products.
